About this bill

This bill gives effect to some elements of the Ngāti Hei deed of settlement, which was signed on 17 August 2017 by Ngāti Hei and the Crown. This bill records the acknowledgements and apology made by the Crown to iwi when the deed was signed and gives effect to redress in the deed.
