Land Transport (NZTA) Legislation Amendment Bill

This is an omnibus Bill amending the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the Land Transport Act 1998, and the Railways Act 2005 to strengthen the regulatory leadership of the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) by setting up a new regulatory structure, establishing the position of Director of Land Transport, centralising regulatory authority, and strengthening the NZTA’s role in relation to key regulatory interventions including speed management and enforcement.
