This bill amends the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 to give effect to the recommendations of the Agricultural and Horticultural Products Regulatory Review that relate to the principal Act.

The objective of this bill is to support a legally compliant and welfare-focused transition for New Zealand pig farmers beyond the current expiry date for regulations 26 and 27 of the Animal Welfare (Care and Procedures) Regulations 2018 of 18 December 2025.
