Emergency Management Bill (No 2)
This bill replaces the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002 and gives effect to the Government's response to the Government Inquiry into the Response to the North Island Severe Weather Events.
Corrections (Management of Prisoners, and Prisoners’ Property) Amendment Bill
This bill amends the Corrections Act 2004. Its most substantive amendments would establish a clearer statutory basis for the safe, lawful, and humane management of a small group of prisoners who pose an extreme risk that the Department of Corrections manages in prison.
Policing Amendment Bill
This bill amends the Policing Act 2008 to reaffirm the New Zealand Police's longstanding ability to record images and sounds in public places, and to collect personal information for lawful purposes, and expands the temporary road closure powers currently in the Act.
