This Bill amends the Remuneration Authority Act 1977 to provide a sole criterion for the Remuneration Authority to consider when reviewing the total remuneration of members of Parliament.

This omnibus Bill contains taxation amendments aimed at improving the current tax settings within a broad-base, low rate framework.

The bill proposes amendments to the Employment Relations Act 2000.

It amends the Remuneration Authority Act 1977 to provide a sole criterion for the Remuneration Authority to consider when reviewing the remuneration of members of Parliament. It also amends the Members of Parliament (Remuneration and Services) Act 2013 to make amendments to the basis on which assessments of personal benefit are taken into account by the Remuneration Authority.

The bill proposes a number of amendments to the Immigration Act 2009 to address gaps in the compliance regime, to repond to opportunities provided by new technology, and to introduce measures to address the exploitation of migrant workers.
