The single broad policy of this omnibus bill is to provide targeted changes to the management Crown land to enable greater economic returns to Crown pastoral leaseholders and the Crown.

This bill amends the Public Works Act 1981 to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and clarity of land acquisition, objections, and compensation functions in the Act.

This bill seeks to wind up the Carter Trust, established under the will of the late Charles Rooking Carter, and enable Public Trust to make distributions as executor of the will.

This bill seeks to allow premises that contain both a shop and a restaurant to hold an on-licence for the restaurant part of the premises and an off-licence for the short part of the premises.
