This Bill amends the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 2021 to remove the maximum sustainable employment objective from the economic objectives in the Act, and provide the Reserve Bank with a single economic objective of achieving and maintaining price stability.

This bill ensures that paid parental leave can be split between spouses or partners who are carers of the child and taken at the same time, provided the total paid parental leave doesn’t exceed the maximum provided for a single primary carer.

This bill is a response to a recent examination of the Unit Titles Act 2010 and includes amendments to improve the information disclosure regime to prospective buyers of units, to strengthen the governance arrangements in relation to a body corporate, to increase the professionalism and standards of body corporate managers, and to ensure that planning and funding of long-term maintenance projects is adequate.
