This bill seeks to enhance New Zealand's innovative performance by providing intellectual property protection rights to advancements that are novel, useful and non-obvious that may or may not qualify as an invention for the standard patent.

This bill seeks to improve health and social results for infants and children by requiring that newborns are enrolled with a general practice and primary health organisation before the newborn is due for his or her first immunisation at 6 weeks of age.

The purpose of this bill is to remove from the Auckland Regional Amenities Funding Act 2008 the requirement that specified amenities prepare financial statements according to New Zealand International Financial Reporting Standards, and to allow specified amenities to prepare a single set of financial statements that comply with generally accepted accounting practice.
