New Zealand Public Health and Disability (Southern DHB) Elections Bill

Government bill

About this bill

This bill exempts the Southern District Health Board from the 2016 triennial general election. It will have the effect of extending the time that the Southern DHB is governed by a commissioner until a newly elected board takes office following the 2019 triennial general election.

Progress

Enacted

This Bill has been passed by Parliament, and signed into law by the Governor-General in a step called Royal Assent. This doesn't mean that everything the Act implements has come into force yet, but it does mean that the Act is on the statute books.
