Minimum Wage (Contractor Remuneration) Amendment Bill
The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Minimum Wage Act 1983 to extend its provisions to apply to payments under a contract for services that are remunerated at below the minimum wage.
Land Transport Management (Regulation of Public Transport) Amendment Bill
This bill establishes the Sustainable Public Transport Framework for the planning, procurement, and delivery of public transport services, which addresses systemic issues affecting the sector. This new framework will replace the Public Transport Operating Model.
Natural and Built Environment Bill
This bill repeals and replaces the Resource Management Act 1991, working in tandem with the Spatial Planning Bill.
Spatial Planning Bill
This bill provides for the development and implementation of long-term, strategic spatial planning across New Zealand through the development of regional spatial strategies.
Taxation (Annual Rates for 2022-23, Platform Economy, and Remedial Matters) Bill (No 2)
Policy proposals in this omnibus bill fall into three categories; the first category is to set the annual rates of income tax for the 2022-23 tax year; the second category aims at improving current settings within a broad-base, low-rate framework to help ensure that taxes are fair and efficient and impede economic growth as little as possible; and the third category relates to proposals aimed at improving the settings for tax administration, the GST regime, KiwiSaver, and social policy rules administered by Inland Revenue.
Taxation (Cost of Living Payments) Bill
The proposed amendments in the bill are in relation to the Cost of Living Payments Scheme, which is aimed at providing financial support to eligible low- to middle-income individuals facing increased cost-of-living pressures because of the recent spike in inflation.
COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Bill
The bill is intended to urgently promote employment growth to support New Zealand's recovery from COVID-19. It will establish new fast-track consenting and designation processes for infrastructure and development projects and enable specific work on existing infrastructure to occur without the need for resource consent.
Secondary Legislation Bill
This bill seeks to improve and support the law relating to the making of secondary legislation by applying the framework of access to, and parliamentary oversight of, secondary legislation provided for in the Legislation Act 2019.
Taxation (Income Tax Rate and Other Amendments) Bill
This bill introduces amendments to the Income Tax Act 2007 and the Tax Administration Act 1994 to introduce a new top personal income tax rate of 39% on annual income that exceeds $180,000, and set the minimum family tax credit threshold for the 2020-21 and later tax years.
Legislation Bill
This bill rewrites and replaces the Legislation Act 2012 to implement publication and other reforms relating to the production of high-quality legislation that is easy to find, use, and understand; and updates and re-enacts the Interpretation Act 1999.
