Minimum Wage (Contractor Remuneration) Amendment Bill
The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Minimum Wage Act 1983 to extend its provisions to apply to payments under a contract for services that are remunerated at below the minimum wage.
Land Transport Management (Regulation of Public Transport) Amendment Bill
This bill establishes the Sustainable Public Transport Framework for the planning, procurement, and delivery of public transport services, which addresses systemic issues affecting the sector. This new framework will replace the Public Transport Operating Model.
Spatial Planning Bill
This bill provides for the development and implementation of long-term, strategic spatial planning across New Zealand through the development of regional spatial strategies.
Natural and Built Environment Bill
This bill repeals and replaces the Resource Management Act 1991, working in tandem with the Spatial Planning Bill.
Taxation (Annual Rates for 2022-23, Platform Economy, and Remedial Matters) Bill (No 2)
Policy proposals in this omnibus bill fall into three categories; the first category is to set the annual rates of income tax for the 2022-23 tax year; the second category aims at improving current settings within a broad-base, low-rate framework to help ensure that taxes are fair and efficient and impede economic growth as little as possible; and the third category relates to proposals aimed at improving the settings for tax administration, the GST regime, KiwiSaver, and social policy rules administered by Inland Revenue.
Taxation (Annual Rates for 2020-21, Feasibility Expenditure, and Remedial Matters) Bill
This omnibus taxation bill sets the annual rates of income tax for the 2020-21 tax year, and has a number of proposals aimed at improving current tax settings within a broad-base, low-rate framework and modernising and improving settings for tax administration, the GST regime, KiwiSaver, and social policy rules administered by Inland Revenue.
Resource Management Amendment Bill
The objectives of this bill are to reduce complexity, increase certainty, restore public participation opportunities, and improve Resource Management Act 1991 processes. This bill also supports the urgent need to improve freshwater management and outcomes in New Zealand.
Taxation (COVID-19 Support Payments and Working for Families Tax Credits) Bill
The amendments proposed by this bill relate to the COVID-19 resurgence support payments scheme and to Working for Families tax credit settings.
