This bill amends the KiwiSaver Act 2006 to make it easier for guardians, often single parents, to opt their children under 16 years old into KiwiSaver.

The purpose of the Bill is to make amendments across a range of matters in the Education and Training Act 2020 to give effect to new policy decisions and to make other minor and technical changes.

This bill updates the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993 to allow for urgent prevention and mitigation of harms caused by objectionable publications.

This bill amends the Education Act 1989 to enable statements about the diversity of education provision to be included in the statement of National Education and Learning Priorities.

This bill re-enacts the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995; gives effect to the recommendations arising from the Minister of Internal Affairs’ review presented on 20 October 2016; updates and amends provisions in the existing law; and responds to 3 discrete issues raised in the Law Commission’s review of burial and cremation law.

This bill amends the Gambling Act 2003 to reinstate a modification of the definition of remote interactive gambling during a specified period due to effects of COVID-19.
