Racing Industry (Closure of Greyhound Racing Industry) Amendment Bill
This bill amends the Racing Industry Act 2020 to close commercial greyhound racing in New Zealand from 1 August 2026.
Racing Industry Amendment Bill
This bill amends the Racing Industry Act 2020 to extend the existing land-based monopoly that TAB New Zealand has for racing and sports betting to include online-provided gambling, to maintain and improve the long-term financial sustainability of the racing industry.
Racing Industry (Unlawful Destruction of Specified Greyhounds) Amendment Bill
This bill amends the Racing Industry Act 2020 to prohibit the destruction (by any means) of greyhounds registered with New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association Incorporated (GRNZ), unless it is done by a veterinarian for a reason specified in the greyhound euthanasia policy of GRNZ or by a person acting under the authority of any other legislation
