This overall policy objective of this omnibus bill is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of regulatory systems overseen by the Department of Internal Affairs.

This bill is intended to reduce unnecessary compliance costs, increase certainty for businesses and organisations about their obligations, and continue to reduce the incidence of workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses.

This bill establishes a licensing regime for online casino gambling to facilitate a safer and regulated online casino gambling market.

This omnibus bill replaces the Holidays Act 2003 and seeks to establish a new framework for leave entitlement that is simple and clear, and provides certainty to employees and employers about their entitlements and obligations.

This bill amends the Employment Relations Act 2000 to provide greater certainty for contracting parties, strengthen the consideration of and accountability for the employee's behaviour in the personal grievance process, introduce a threshold for unjustified dismissal personal grievances, and remove the "30-day rule"

This bill introduces the ability for employers to make pay deductions in response to partial strikes.

This bill would adjust the process for raising and resolving a pay equity claim and amend the regulatory framework for parties to a pay equity claim to assess whether there is sex-based undervaluation.

This bill amends the Gambling Act 2003 to make permanent the temporary provision currently in section 4A that exempts class 3 gambling in the form of a lottery from the prohibition on remote interactive gambling in section 9.

This bill amends the Employment Relations Act 2000 to enable businesses that have 20 or more employees to include a 90-day trial period in a new employee’s employment agreement.

This bill will repeal the Fair Pay Agreements legislation.
