Maniapoto Claims Settlement Bill
This bill gives effect to certain matters contained in the Deed of Settlement signed on 11 November 2021 between the Crown and Maniapoto. The Deed will settle all the historical Treaty of Waitangi claims of Maniapoto resulting from acts or omissions by the Crown before 21 September 1992.
Te Rohe o Rongokako Joint Redress Bill
This bill will give effect to specific cultural redress shared between Ngati Kahungunu and Rangitane and provided for in the respective deeds of settlement.
Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki nui-a-Rua Claims Settlement Act 2022
This bill gives effect to the deed of settlement signed on 29 October 2021 in which the Crown and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki nui-ā-Rua agreed to the final settlement of the historical Treaty of Waitangi claims of Ngāti Kahungunu.
Medicines Amendment Bill (No 2)
This bill would amend the Medicines Act to allow for fourth doses of COVID-19 vaccines to be lawfully administered for off-label use, and for further doses to be administered if supported by scientific evidence.
Support Workers (Pay Equity) Settlements Amendment Bill
This bill would increase the minimum wage rates that apply to support workers covered by the principal Act, and extend key provisions of the principal Act past 1 July 2022.
Electoral Amendment Bill (No 2)
This bill amends the Electoral Act 1993 to restrict donations from overseas persons to political parties and candidates, to reduce the risk of foreign money influencing the election process.
Privacy Bill
This bill repeals and replaces the Privacy Act 1993, as recommended by the Law Commission's 2011 review of the Act. Its key purpose is to promote people's confidence that their personal information is secure and will be treated properly.
Electoral (Registration of Sentenced Prisoners) Amendment Bill
This bill amends the Electoral Act 1993 to enfranchise people who are serving a sentence of imprisonment for a term of less than 3 years and better facilitate participation in the electoral system of prisoners who are to be released from prison following a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 3 years or more.
Equal Pay Amendment Bill
The purpose of this bill is to improve the process for raising and progressing pay equity claims, and to eliminate and prevent discrimination on the basis of sex in the remuneration and employment terms and conditions for work done within female-dominated jobs.
